You must check Hemingway's out! It tucked in under ground. The food selection is small but everything I have ordered was delicious All the bartenders are quick with service Pet friendly View all feedback.
What Mack F doesn't like about Hemingways:
Small little dive bar, NOT a bistro, but cool nonetheless! Had a couple drinks and ordered food and it took almost an hour for a couple sandwiches, so be prepared to be there for a bit and when you're not in a rush. View all feedback.

This place reminds me a lot of No Name Pub in the Florida keys where we just moved from. It's a super secret hidden dive bar/bistro. It's dark, it's small, the roofs are low, and it's in a basement on the waterfront. Totally captures the dive bar vibe. The service was fantastic. You need to order at the bar and take a number to your table. Be patient if they are busy, they are doing their best. Wife got the grilled chicken Cesar wrap and I got a club sandwich. Both were wonderful. The grilled chicken was warm and full of flavor in every bite. The club was made to order and perfect. Their drinks are top notch too. We will be back. : if you are wondering around Bay Street and all the restaurants are full, try and find this hidden gem. You will not be disappointed!
This is a very small place with a big personality. Located in an out of the way place in the basement of an old house, it is always delightfully chilly (or maybe downright cold). Hot summer days are no match to the ice cold beer and drinks they serve. Great selection of beer on tap and great prices. The bar tenders are friendly and engaging. If you are cold natured beware as they must have the thermostat set on hypothermia.
We love this bar... it's unique, it's old and definitely has a lot of character personality!! We love the live music on Saturday Sunday afternoons -we bring our Dog, she loves it as much as we do!! We have met lots of friends here, we love the food, the cook, the owner, the way it feels! Reasonable prices for the food and drinks! This is an example of exactly why we moved here!
Best Dive Bar!! There is an art to creating the whole Dive Bar experience. Enter here from the alley to the back basement, low ceiling with small cozy inside and spacious outside options. Dollars tacked to the ceiling beams, hand lettered signs tacked up randomly and best of all a Great Bartender with an attitude. I had driven into town late on a Monday and was fortunate to find Hemingways and some very good whisky Maker's Mark hit the spot along with a bag of chips I'm easy. Bartender Zoe was straight up about some of the signs (see my photos), helpful about parking for the next 2 days, and can chat effortlessly with all of us. The dollars tacked everywhere were reminiscent of KeyWest and Memphis dive bars and the late hours fill a void. I look forward to returning.
