Breakwater Restaurant Bar Beaufort

My mother and grandmother were outstanding Southern cooks, and while I wouldn't dare rate any fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and turnip greens higher than theirs, I would place Breakwater very close! It was an excellent meal, and I was truly pleased. The brown ale was top-notch as well! Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals (she had the salmon), and the service was fantastic. We drove 30 minutes from Fripp Island, and I would gladly do it again. The Beaufort waterfront is also a lovely attraction. It was a wonderful dining experience!

My wife and I had an incredible experience at Breakwater. Best food in downtown Beaufort and it's not even close! The lamb meatloaf and fried chicken were amazing. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and the drinks were very good too. Definitely our go-to place from now on.

For dinner, I found the prices to be reasonable, ranging from $30 to $50 per person. The food was truly outstanding, earning a perfect score of five stars. The service was equally impressive, with attentive and friendly staff making the evening enjoyable. The atmosphere was delightful, contributing to an overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend trying the She Crab Soup – it's a must!
