We tried the buffet at Pizza Plus, but unfortunately, the staff seemed more focused on their phones than keeping the buffet stocked. In fact, the delivery guy had to inform them that there were no pizzas available! They really need to improve their service or hire someone who will. After this experience, we won't be returning and will be heading to Rutledge instead for better service—the manager there is fantastic! The worst part is that we walked in hungry and left needing to find somewhere else to eat!
Pizza Plus is usually a reliable choice for us, but our recent visit was disappointing. We found ourselves in town and, feeling hungry, decided to stop by for some pizza. Unfortunately, the food didn't meet our expectations. My mom's sandwich was missing several toppings that were supposed to be included. When we ran out of water and asked for a refill, we were told they were out of bottled water, so they filled our cups from the sink in the back, which would have been acceptable if the water weren't warm. The staff wasn't outright rude, but they lacked friendliness, which I could overlook if the service had been better. They mistakenly charged us too much for our food, but when my mom pointed it out, they did correct it. However, as soon as she stepped outside, I overheard them calling her names and talking about her, unaware that I was still inside. Overall, it was a terrible experience.
The food was just okay. We arrived 20 minutes before the buffet closed, and it was already empty, but the staff said she would make whatever we wanted, so we decided to order from the menu instead. That’s where things went wrong. A medium chicken ranch pizza and a drink cost $19—highway robbery! The meat calzone and a drink were $15. For that price, we could have gone to Texas Roadhouse and gotten a steak. The menu listed the calzone at $8.85, but I guess they charged extra for each topping. She claimed the pizza was a specialty pizza, which is why it was $19, but it definitely wasn’t that special!
We weren’t even asked if we wanted a drink after ordering the buffet and had to get our own drinks and refills. The staff member working had a bad attitude and was unfriendly. Throughout our visit, there were only one or two items available on the buffet.
