We decided to have lunch there, but were disappo... read more For my husband's special birthday, we stayed in Beachport at an apartment next to Bonnies, which was excellent! We decided to have lunch there, but were disappointed by the limited menu. Unfortunately, the curry was already off the menu by 12:30pm, so we opted for fish and chips instead. The fish was crumbed and grey inside, making it inedible. The chips were decent and the salad was acceptable. We politely told the waitress that it was one of the worst meals we've ever had and that we wouldn't be returning. She assured us she would inform the chef.

We began with a large and delicious cheesy garlic bread, followed by the braised beef cheeks and a Greek custard tart. The service was excellent and the food was top-notch, deserving of a 5-star rating.

Given table for 2 next to ordering station and bar. Up to 10 people at a time were trying to mill around ordering food as others tried to get past to the bar.At one stage a patron actually sat on the edge of our small table waiting his turn. Pointed out to staff that covid regulations were being breached. No response . Asked to speak to Covid Marshall was asked Mr who? Finally a very pleasant young man moved us into a barn of a room used for functions. The food arrived. If you dont have supplies dont serve limp lettuce with brown edges. Other salad vegies tired. Chips excellent. Steak OK. These people need a lesson re Covid protocol

Looked at my room then asked for refund as I didn’t want to stay there! My car was a better option! The owners wife refused to give me back my money. Silly woman. She doesn’t know who we are. I just wanted my money. (Enjoy the authorities I send your way Miranda) Dusty, creepy no air conditioning! Bed linen looked used! Towel was so thin. Shower had hairs in it. During a pandemic when we should all be covid safe I expect better. In australia thankfully we have codes to live by. If you can’t follow them. Don’t live here, let alone run a business.
