We were a large group (with a reservation! at Lamondi and were very disappointed. First and foremost, our head waitress (blonde hair tied in a bun was very rude and impatient. Her tone was more than curt, she repeatedly rolled her eyes in annoyance, the food was practically slammed onto the table, and she often didn't know exactly what food/drinks were on her tray. The food was served lukewarm and was only mediocre. In addition, the restrooms were not clean. For a restaurant in this price range, these issues are unacceptable.

But yo... read more I visited yesterday for the first time. My partner for the second time... the ambiance is really nice. The waiter showed us to our table, which was okay. But you could tell he was visibly overwhelmed. He was extremely hectic. The drinks came quickly. And so did the food. But from then on, we were lost. The cell phone became more important as it got emptier. He should have asked us for dessert, because we would have liked that. We signaled for the second drink from a distance. The food was okay. Not a huge hit, and unfortunately lacked the wow factor in terms of taste... a real shame. We might visit Lamondi again sometime, but it's really not something I need a second visit. I'm a server myself, and the customer is my priority. According to the waiter, there was no more sushi that evening either... all in all, a lackluster evening.

That's very inconvenient, especially since the prices are quite high and hardly anyone carries that much cash around these days. What's particularly bad is that there's no indication anywhere that payment in cash is accepted. Not when making a reservation, not even on a sign in the restaurant, or even when ordering. But when you find out about it after your meal with the bill, it's subpar. There's no apology for the inconvenience either. Customer service is better! Instead, there's a reference to a nearby ATM, but it's a bank where I have to pay hefty fees. None of this is acceptable to me and unfortunately spoils an otherwise lovely evening. What a shame!
