Recently had a pizza night with friends here. Prices are very reasonable. The pizza is excellent with a lovely thin crust. Toppings are also out of the boring norm. One has thinly sliced potatoes and Gorgonzola cheese. Our favorite is the chili prawn pizza.Order at the counter and the pizzas are delivered fresh and hot to your table. View all feedback.
What Nora Boehm doesn't like about Bawley Beach Cafe:
I had a negative experience at Teroni that left such a lasting impression that I felt compelled to write a review about it a month later. I visited the restaurant with a friend for a casual outing. View all feedback.
Doesn't open till 9am on weekends which is a bit late for breakfast. Dropped in for a coffee and waited 10 minutes and cafe wasn't even busy. Staff not very friendly or enthusiastic and coffee wasn't very good. They have an ideal location and cafe setup but some room for improvement.
Good coffee at Bawley Beach Café. Setting is convivial and meeting old friends and newcomers to Bawley.
Breakfast only from 9:00am too late for us but service was very slow. went back for a pizza at 6:00pm to be told can't do until later and when we got so called pizzas we can only describe them as hopeless. cannot recommend this place in fact just go further south to merry beach and get a great meal and service.
We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The whole experience was disappointing. Right from the start, the lady who took our order seemed annoyed as if we were inconveniencing her just by being there. The coffee was weak and tasted like instant and the breakfast was simply revolting. Nothing like the one picture shown. My husband ordered the french toast with bacon. It consisted of one piece of standard white bread that was still all soggy (not crispy on the outside as french toast should be) and a couple of pieces of barely cooked (also soggy) bacon. I asked for Vegemite on toast and was told they didn't do that. So got charged $5 for two pieces of toast with butter. This place has so much potential as one of the few cafes in Bawley Point but the food and customer service is what lets it down. Hopefully their pizzas are better.
I'm happy to visit here again as our food as ok, not great but ok. It was more the staff that left the bad taste in my mouth; not very welcoming and no pleasantries at all, im sure they would have been much happier if we didnt turn up at all.
