The venue was great, the staff were helpful in the extreme and the food was delicious. The downsides were the size of the venue, it was not great so it would be ideal for a smaller party, though I'm not saying it is cramped. There is no parking on site but a public car park is within 50 yards, there are no barriers to stop late leavers. Make sure you book any post party taxis in advance.
The Pilgrims Rest is a wonderful venue. I visited years ago when it was a tea room and was so excited when I found out it was now a wedding venue. My partner and I just had our wedding here and it was the most perfect day. Waverley and Amy were everything you could ask for, facilitating viewings, answering big and small questions, and making sure everything ran seamlessly on the day: having people you can trust is so important on such a huge occasion. The venue is stunning, and the pre decorated areas are beautiful, with flexibility in style. Access the day before for decorating and run-throughs and the following day for collection also takes a large weight off your shoulders. It’s so nice to know you picked the absolute right venue for your wedding and would not hesitate to recommend it wholeheartedly.
This was our Wedding venue on the 21.10.23 and we couldn't of asked for anything more. We fell in love with the venue 2 years ago and booked it instantly. The charm and beauty of the building speaks for itself it is just truly the most magical place to get married. With the separate spaces being close together linked via the main hall it is such an intimate venue, all of our guests commented on how cosy and valued they felt. Waverly and Amy you are the most amazing people thank you both so much for making sure everything went smoothly it felt like you were supposed to be there. I didn't notice a single issue throughout the day you handled everything so wonderfully. I wish I could get married here every day but being apart of The Pilgrims Rest's story is a wonderful thought I will cherish looking back on our day.

The Pilgrims Rest is such a special venue. We got married here end of Sept and everything about it was perfect. We wanted a dry hire venue so we could have more flexibility and so the wedding reflected us. The team are just incredible; Waverley and Amy were so helpful, answered our many questions, gave us loads of helpful tips and recommendations and were amazing on the day making sure everything went smoothly. We got so many compliments from our guests! Thank you again for everything also super dog friendly venue for anyone who wants to include their pets best decision we made!
