Was Fiona Bentley at Claverton a mag?
Although it's a bit of a distance from Battle, we had a fantastic stay in the 1066 countryside. There are a few wineries to explore, along with Battle Abbey and Hastings nearby. The establishment isn't large (only about 10 rooms), but it is well-furnished, bright, and airy, featuring friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent. We will definitely return! Passed this hotel many times and always wanted to go there so booked a Sunday lunch, lovely setting took our drinks outside whilst we waited for lunch, bit concerned that our drinks from the menu were not available. Went to a party here and enjoyed the venue!
