I'm in town visiting friends and I have to say, the Salmon and Avocado toast was outstanding! We began with chocolate beignets and ruby mimosas. It was truly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! I highly recommend it—be sure to call ahead and get on the waiting list. View all feedback.
What Roux 504 dislikes about Ruby Slipper Cafe:
For a Saturday morning on LSU Gameday seating time was less than 15 minutes which was a shock. The seating is way too cramped for my liking. Every seating spot in the restaurant puts you right next to another patron and the place was full so that was anegative. Service was very quick. We got our appetizer and drinks in a timely manner and our server checked up on us to let usknow when the main meal would be out. The... View all feedback.
The banana foster pain perdu is absolutely fantastic! The sauce elevates the dish to a whole new level, and I'm a big fan of it. The chicken sausage was much more flavorful compared to the pork.
Our server, Jasmine, was extremely polite and managed her tables excellently. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable overall, although I found the mimosa a bit overpriced. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great brunch. They do offer outdoor seating, and it tends to get quite busy after church.

I like their take on Eggs Benedict and those frenchtoats bites were awesome. The shrimp and grits was way too greasey for my taste, but it was well seasoned. The bloody mary wasthe best part of the meal.
Where have I been, but I never heard about this place. My boss decided to take our team here for a quick bite to eat and when I tell you I?m so glad that he did. When I asked the waitress Miss Shirley, what was good on a menu, she said EVERYTHING!!! Shewas Great at explaining everything to us, and she made us feel like we were the only ones there. I ordered the Grit Cakes withCrawfish????????????. It was close your eyes good . Don?t talk about the shrimp and grits, it has so much flavor! Forappetizers we had the French toast bites, and the Beignets. this place was so reasonable, and the vibe was awesome. An amazingplace to get an awesome meal with great service!!!
