It's always a challenge to find a good place for breakfast in a country town during your first visit, especially, when it's -5 outside and you don't have many options available at 8 am on Sunday. What User doesn't like about Royal Society Cafe:
The service in this cafe was utterly appalling - totally nonresponsive and seemingly provided by staff with little or no experience of hospitality. This was a huge pity because the food was great, and a table out the front in the winter sun was a perfectly pleasant place to sit for an hour or so. However, service is too important for us to ever consider returning. A huge disappointment. View all feedback.
The Eggbenedict is delicious, but the taste of the Korean chicken has changed, which was a bit disappointing. The staff are always friendly. I will definitely be visiting this cafe again.
The Royal Society Café serves up a delicious Pumpkin Spice Granola, fruit toast, and soyccino.
I had one of the best vegetarian burgers here. I requested to change my side of chips to salad, and the salad was simple but delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for a good vegetarian burger and a lovely experience!
The iced coffee and the superfood bowl were fantastic.
Husband and I loved the food. Good options and flexibility for kids. Simple layout. Quick. Clean toilets. Just needs a basket of kids toys and perhaps a couple of small tables to keep them entertained.
