It was as if we'd walked back in time to the Chinese restaurants my parents took me to in the 1960s. Maybe my taste buds have become accustomed to the profusion of authentic ethnic food available in Sydney, but I was a tad disappointed that this positive trend had not yet reached over the mountains.

The food itself hasn't changed in thirty plus years, chicken chow mein packed with chicken, sweet sour pork the same. Once we can eat in the restaurant, we'll be back with our family.
