At Coconut Tree in Bath, Sri Lankan street food shines with tapas-style small plates—standout hoppers, a large vegetarian selection, and clearly labeled gluten-free options with careful cross-contamination precautions. Reasonable prices and a vibrant, upbeat atmosphere make it a great spot for casual dinners and date nights. Diners praise the flavorful food and friendly staff, though service can be slow at times and occasional billing or drink-pricing errors have caused stress. My partner and I stumbled into The Coconut Tree, not expecting much, casually looking for a quick bite to eat. We left astounded by the quality of the food and the service. The young staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely nice. The food was the highlight though. Delicious takes on Sri Lankan cuisine that were well prepared and presented. It's always a nice surprise when one encounters a decent place to eat, and the Coconut Tree in Bath didn't disappoint. Plus, we got engaged during dinner! To be honest, O had another place planned for this, but it was getting dark and her feet were tired ; . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40
