We had a lovely afternoon tea with a group of friends, the sandwiches and cakes were excellent and the champagne was perfectly matched! Could have been a bit more efficient at bringing the tea , champagne and food together! View all feedback.
What Alfie Phillips doesn't like about Afternoon Tea At Abbey:
Arrived at the bar and they didn't seem to know I had booked afternoon tea at 4.30 . Eventually told to take a seat and our table was set. Coffee was brought first. When pouring the coffee and my fingers were covered in black from the silver coffee pot. I asked where the toilets were to was my hands. The coffee pot was then cleaned. The food came nicely presented but a bit pricey at £30 with glass of champagne which... View all feedback.
Sand, which was on the afternoon tee was rock hard could not decide whether they were stabbed or not thawed from where they were stored, would expect better for such a prominent hotel that for tourists in the center of bad in fairness they immediately made fresh and knocked some money out of the bill without asking. overall I would say disappointing experience

Bit disappointed that nothing was offered as an apology
Very nice afternoon tea. Pricey. We were led to believe the tea was refillable and the sandwiches were also, yet we were charged extra for this when the bill arrived. Nice but not value for money.
Unusual presentation of a typical, yet delicious afternoon tea of savoury, sweets and of course scones and clotted cream. Great value for the money. Served in a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere. I would certainly return if I was in Bath again.
