What User likes about The Assembly Inn:
What was meant to be a flying visit en route elsewhere became a full afternoon. A busy and lively pub with screens showing various sporting fixtures and staff who made us feel so welcome it would have been rude not to stay. Sadly, all bar one of the draught ales were off but the White Friar was worth having several pints. View all feedback. What George D doesn't like about The Assembly Inn:
Horrible. Unfriendly. Full of locals who are horrible to anyone coming in. Wouldn’t recommend. Never coming back to this pub, because unless you’re a local, they will hate you. View all feedback.

Came here to catch the second half of alex ferguson's last home game for manu. After I lied to the bar, rob passed and asked me what I wanted.

The assembly inn is an interesting little pub / live music spot, hidden away from the main business area of the city center. I'm here to see one.

I like this bar, drinks are cheap and it is not too busy. good place to watch the football on a Saturday afternoon. bar snacks are delicious and good.

Such a lovely pub, great staff and the pool tables were a great addition. Would recommend for late night drinks with work mates!

This establishment offers a lively atmosphere with friendly staff, impressive local ales, and enjoyable spaces for sports enthusiasts and pool players alike. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like a private garden and vintage games that evoke nostalgia. However, there are notable concerns; some patrons report unprofessional service from a particular staff member, which overshadowed their experience. While many visitors felt welcomed and enjoyed their time, the inconsistency in service and atmosphere leads to divided opinions. Ultimately, it’s a venue worth trying for its charm, but be wary of possible service issues.
