It was my first time here and I didn’t want to impose by complaining, but please make sure that the catfish that you fry is completely fried (internal temperature 145 degrees. however the service was great and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I will give it another try tomorrow night. View all feedback.
What Deana Brassfield doesn't like about The River Sandbar:
We drove an hour to eat here only to walk in and be refused service. The hostess said they have too many big parties. There was 2 parties I could see. I wouldn’t ever visit this place Bc of this. My advise for the management, from a fellow manager, would be done accept large parties if your staff cant handle that and a table or two. Especially on a Saturday night. October 8 2021 my husband and I got married here we went back last night to celebrate my promotion at work and still the visit was well worth it amazing atmosphere great staff amazing view and food
Ate at the River and highly recommend it. Our server (Alexis) was amazing, the food was great and everyone was friendly and welcoming.
Lock 1 window table dining. Leaping fish fishermen. There is much history to learn about the lock and the restaurant. Half of us ordered the catfish: the Ahi Tuna, Seafood Penne was good. Their bread pudding is unique very tasty!
We went for our 34 wedding anniversary. It was AMAZING. Everything was perfect.
Staff was great. Quick service. Beautiful spot. Would definitely go again!
