I had lunch here recently with an old high school friend and her traveling companion. I forgot what they had but they both liked their meals. I had the Ranchero special along with a beef taco on the side. Everything was pretty tasty but I will say the service was just ok, like they need a little more pep in their step. View all feedback.
What FGF doesn't like about El Palenque Mexican:
Its very salty... The seasoning its not as authentic like they say they are.. Taco seasoning on burritos ... Their dishes taste the same.. But great customer service and great prices. Use cash.. they force tip when you use Cards... Terrible! View all feedback.
Very friendly owners, attentive servers, food is great and to the table as quick as any place I've been. Usually our go to when in Batesville
As far as staff.. Great atmosphere. The other friend on the ppl dining in. Staff is great tho.

A great place with good quantities and a great price.
We got the trio enchiladas and they were fantastic. Being from Texas good texmex is hard to find in Arkansas. But it was really good. Not the authentic Mexican food they advertise. But it is good texmex. I would've liked to see a torta or some birria de chiva tacos or some michoacan enchiladas. Like actual authentic Mexican food. But for what it is. Top tier.
