Revisited after not being to this village for a couple of years. Disappointed at the loss of the choice of a local beer but a nice pint of Timothy Taylor. Unfortunately the pub was cold and keeping coats on was necessary . No food available and stand in barman stated no chef employed at present. It was a Monday night I'd been let down by the other pub in the village not serving food . The landlady rustled me up pie and mash , very tasty and generous portion , nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was extremely friendly . Lovely pub which I would recommend visiting .
