What Jamie H doesn't like about The Millstone At Old Basing:
Me and my fiancee have been trying to finish our wedding booking and no one is available, not a Monday, Wednesday or Friday when they say they are supposed to be available. I have been ringing since we gave over our deposit and now we can never get an answer, or the wedding coordinator is never in. We have left message after message and had no return call. The wedding side is completely independent from the pub side,... View all feedback.

We received a very warm welcome at this restaurant. It is located in a picturesque setting not far from the main roads. The service was efficient and the food was excellent with generous portions. I would highly recommend this place. Additionally, our 4-year-old had a great time being entertained by the visiting cat named "Ted."
My partner I visited this pub for the first time last Saturday afternoon for lunch. We had chosen it as it is a Wadworth brewery pub and was located on our way home to Surrey from Wiltshire. It was busy for the last Saturday of 2023 and we were glad we had booked online in advance. The service was polite friendly. The food was very tasty. My partner had the wood pigeon to start and I had the tempura cod cheeks. We both had the chicken, ham leek pies for mains, which were especially good. The location of this pub is beautiful set amongst woodland and very popular with dog walkers. We would happily return if we were in the area again. Highly recommended.
My company had our Christmas meal at Bartons Mill and we had a fantastic time. The restaurant had a cozy and festive atmosphere, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was plentiful, hot, and delicious. It was a great experience overall.
