I always order the fish and chips, and I never have any problems when I eat them from other places. It seems like there is an issue with the food here specifically. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I was surprised to see the lady preparing my cod and chips - the... read more I usually go to my local fish and chip shop in Whitchurch, but decided to give Overton's a try. I was surprised to see the lady preparing my cod and chips - the piece of fish was more like a large cod bite with a strange branch off the side. I waited for my order and was disappointed with what I received. When I got home, I realized that the tiny piece of fish was indeed mine, and at £6.35, it felt like a rip off compared to my usual spot. The staff seemed disorganized and were arguing about their employer. I don't plan on returning anytime soon, and will stick to my favorite chippy in Whitchurch just 3 miles away.

Portions can be terrific but they can also be awful. Be a while before I visit again.
