Had to repeatedly ask for missed food, our wine, and just to be served with our next course. We were told that we couldn't order our main as kitchen on a Saturday night is closed at 9.30! Bill came up and because we refused to pay the service charge, we were told we could never come back. Surely by law, we aren't obliged to pay the service charge.

The service was slow and dishes arrived without sauces and on asking for them was looked at as if we were an inconvenience. The food was nice although when you have to wait long enough for it anything tastes good. On asking for the bill it arrived with a £20.80 service charge, which we definitely didn’t want to pay. The “manager “ spoke to us saying how this sort of service is to be expected at busy times, even with several tables empty all night! He then told us if we returned and would not pay the compulsory charge he would have to show us the door. Needless to say he won’t have to as we won’t return.
