What peonygarden dislikes about Max's Drive-in:
My husband had home made chicken soup which he said was very good. I had a club sandwich. It was generous and good. However, I would like to recommend that real cheese is used, eg., cheddar, swiss instead of Kraft singles which my kids call plastic cheese. The waitress was very friendly and service was quick. Ordered a pepperoni pizza which tasted pretty good. Not to impressive when you have to peel off the casing from the sausage before you can eat.

For some time we have eaten here when in the area. The food is consistently good and prices very reasonable. The menu is varied and there has never been reason to complain about any of it.

Was recommended this place by my daughter by SMS during a return drive from Stettler to Edmonton. Such a quaint place - family run - so typical of small-town Alberta. The service was great and the food was wholesome and tasty. We particularly liked the fact that it came piping hot from the kitchen. Basic, down-to-earth - just what one needs for a pit stop during a road trip.

I wouldn’t recommend ordering the salads here. I spent $18 on a chef's salad that was just iceberg lettuce and cold cuts. I paid extra for chicken, but all I got was a small half of a breast. Definitely not worth the price. Since I need to follow a gluten-free diet, there weren’t many other options for me. I won't be coming back for that again.

The pizzas here are excellent, but unfortunately, the kitchen staff are refusing to prepare certain smaller sizes or half-and-half pizzas. This has likely cost them some sales. I doubt the owners are aware of what’s happening with their employees.
