Es ist eher simpel eingerichtet, jedoch ohne heruntergekommen zu wirken, im Stile einer typischen "Quartierbeiz". Bietet italienische Küche zu moderaten bis mittleren Preisen mit grossem Angebot an Pizza und Pasta. Preise: Pizza / Teller Pasta ab ca. Fr. 18, 1 dl Hauswein ab ca. Fr. 4.

Got there about 5:10,... read more Due to an early train trip today, I was ready for dinner earlier than usual and was pleased to see this restaurant had open doors at 5pm. Got there about 5:10, walked in to a completely empty dining room, called out hello a couple of times, and finally, a gentleman came out of the kitchen. I asked (in German if they were open, he said they were, didn 't bother to suggest a table, so I sat down. He followed up by bringing me a menu and telling me that I was too early. (Really? Then why open the doors? I suggested that perhaps I could have a drink and he indicated that he could get me a drink. I asked (again, in German if he could explain the difference between two white wines out of three that were available by the glass. He told me there was no difference. Helpful. I opted for the pinot gris since I wasn 't familiar with the other one and I clearly wasn 't going to get much help from the waiter. Some bread arrived and I munched on that for a while, hoping that he would allow me to order a bit more after an acceptable amount of time has passed. I had narrowed my entree down to two that were both listed as specialties and asked if he had a recommendation. He said that if I liked asparagus, I should get the dish that included asparagus and that was the limit on any recommendation. I began with a small salad that was drowned in dressing and when the entree arrived, I had to ask for a fork, since he had taken the one fork when he whisked away the salad. As I ate, he spent most of his time sitting in a chair in another section of the dining room. Never asked if I needed anything, if I would like water of any kind, if the meal was to my liking......nothing. The speciality of the house was a pasta dish with forgettable prawns and an interesting sauce just a bit too much of it. The best I can say about this experience was that the meal was filling.
