I observed a newspaper article recently listing Eisuru as one of the top Gelato destinations in Switzerland, so no doubt I had to stop by during my visit to Basel. Eisuru is one of the shops located inside the Markthalle. There are two stools inside the shop, a few tables outside the entrance in addition to the entire shared seating area of the Markthalle. There were also high chairs for kids next to their entrance tables. The staff was very friendly upon entering. I browsed their assortment of gelato on display and decided to try the white peach, which was just okay and the juicy juicy mango, which was delicious. Their prices are 4CHF for 2scoops, 5CHF for 3-scoops, 7CHF for 4-scoops and larger take home boxes available.
Really good gelato, not too sweet. I love the different flavors, wish they had also matcha green tea, but maybe they will add it soon. The black sesame was the best.
Delicious gelato with a Japanese twist. Fresh, organic, seasonal fruit flavours made daily on the premises. You can taste to your heart's content before narrowing your selection. If available on the day, Pink lemon, Pear and the black sesame or Kurogoma flavours are sublime. We are regular visitors!
This store simply sells one of the best ice creams in basel. Some very interesting flavours! Friendly personnel.
This ice cream shop offers a small variety of flavours, carefully selected and made with attention to high quality ingredients with not too much sugar. Home made and fresh, the staff is lovely and we can only recommend to accompany it with the great coffee next door or a delicious Matcha-shot.
