It's a pretty small place, but in summer you have many tables to sit outside. I suggest you make a reservation because the place is well protected. I was there twice, once with my spouse and once again with my friend.

This place scor... read more When I choose a hotel it’s the bed, the shower and noise levels that matter most. In a restaurant it’s the food, the service and the atmosphere. This place scores tops on all three criteria. The food is like Italian genuinely home made but BETTER. We tried 5 dishes and every one of them was excellent: not one was weak. Five is a bit much but worth the extra gym time the next day. Wines also very interesting and off the beaten track: follow the recommendations and you’ll be fine. Service is super friendly but not over bearing: a difficult balance. The atmosphere is cool but not uncomfortable with good music at a sensible levelThis is my new favourite Basel place: it’s small with only 20 or so seats so book ahead might be a good idea.
