Restaurant ist immer gut besucht über den Mittag. Es empfiehlt sich zu Reservieren. Essen ist gut. Grosse Auswahl an Mittagessen.

To be honest, I first went into the Momo because of Michael Ende's book - the name suggested a place where you could withdraw comfortably from the world and would never feel rushed. As it turned out the Café Momo belongs to the adjoining old people's home and is therefore frequented by its inhabitants, but the good lunch deal also attracts workers in the area, so it is usually full at lunch on a week day and booking in advance is advisable. The lunch menu usually offers 5-6 choices, all of which are served with a salad and soup and come at the phantastically low price of CHF 12.50. Make no mistake, you will not just get pasta or a fried egg but things like meat stew served with wild rice and mixed peppers, fillet of sole with sauce hollandaise, potatoes and spinach and the like. If there's an entrecote on the menu, you might pay 16 or 18 sometimes, but most of the meals come at 12.50. The cooking is nothing exceptional, but excellent considering the price.Service is friendly and helpful, you feel that they are used to dealing with a clientele that cannot move so fast and has specific dietary needs.
