We were looking forward to a good lunch and found Triippini on TripAdvisor. Arriving here the view is magnificent. The room to eat in to sterile. Having pictures of the chef himself everywhere in IKEA frames is not my idea of a subtile interior design. As a amuse we were served very dry breadsticks and oliveoil bavarois on a tiny piece of hard bruschetta. Not tasteful or tasty at all. The main dishes were good but not amazing. Wine was excellent, service to. Over all, trying to hard and a little pretentious, I would not recommend it..
The views from the restaurant are spectacular here, even on a rainy sunday. Nevertheless, the food is good, but not great. We took a 5 course set menu and many of the dishes were lukewarm to cold, they often lacked taste. Service was correct, but nothing more (we had to ask for extra bread for instance, which came after the course … . Too expensive (84 euro per person for the quality/quantity which we got. Especially in a small village in Umbria where you can easily eat as tastefully in a normal restaurant for 30 euro per person …
Forget the food, will come to that later but possibly the most beautiful sunset view I’ve experienced at a restaurant. Now to the food, we had the “traditional “ tasting menu and it was superb, very high quality and worth the comparatively high price. Excellent choice of wines as well. Only downside was atmosphere, we were the only diners on a Saturday night. Very surprising but perhaps World Cup a factor. Highly recommend if in area and the village is stunning

Really exceptional experience superb service and a truly remarkable meal for the ages.
This was a highly disappointing meal. All courses, with the exception of the pork main course, completely lacked flavor. The pork was somewhat flavorful, but the skin was not crisp and the flavor was dulled by the insipid sauce. The breads were stale and the touted olive ice cream icy. The view is lovely, though.
