Nicks Snack Shack - Barton
Nicks Snack Shack
Description
A lively, memorabilia-filled roadside diner earns praise for friendly staff, standout shakes, onion rings and comfort classics, but delivers uneven experiences: some visits were warm and delicious while others brought soggy, cold or greasy plates, long waits, missing menu items and poor takeout. Reports cite rude service and occasional food-safety issues, yet the spot remains a beloved local hangout for families and travelers when it’s firing on all cylinders.

The food was not bad. The fries were a bit undercooked and soggy, and they were sold out of about 1/3 of the items on the board. The worst part, though, was waiting 38 minutes for chicken tenders and two orders of fries. It wasn 't terribly busy or anything like that, but it just took forever. I will say, the chicken tenders were quite good. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner
Fresh hand dipped fried fish sandwich, fresh cut and breaded onion rings, fresh cut french fries, delicious burgers, great prices, large portions! Very Friendly staff. We are family visiting from Florida and Ohio and staying one night in this area. Would highly recommend Nicks! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Great spot. Food and service were outstanding. Wish we lived closer, would be a regular spot to eat.
