Contribute FeedbackSwiss Chalet has been met with mixed reviews lately, from complaints about portion size and delivery time to praise for exceptional service at specific locations. Some diners were disappointed by the quality of food, while others enjoyed the ambiance and friendliness of the staff. The Bayfield, Barrie location received special mention for its decor, service, and reliable food. Despite some negative experiences, loyal customers look forward to returning once safety permits. Ultimately, Swiss Chalet offers a classic dining experience, but inconsistencies in food quality and service at different locations are something to consider.
I should have know from the stale coffee that this wasn't going to be the best meal i have ever had.I got the full rack of back ribs which were dry as a nomads flip flop. The only reason i gave this a 2 star is that i like the fries and swiss chalet sauce. One of the things that hurt the most was at $26 a rack my wife and I should have went to the keg and got properly fed.The racks also seemed small and i was actually hungry as i was leaving.
Waste of time. ordered food at 6pm estimated delivery time was 6:53pm, food didnt show up until 7:50 pm so it was sent back.
Unfortunately I decided to order Swiss chalet for tonight. Called them at 5:34 pm and meal arrived at 6:59! Rice was stain disgusting smelled and tasted like a week old. Bread was dry and aged, I could t believe that! NEVER AGAIN! Don't recommend to anyone, it's a rip off!
We arrived as first guests this morning. It was quite cool in the restaurant but the heater came on within a few minutes. I enjoyed the peri peri chicken
Total rip-off. I've watched over the past few years as the meal sizes shrunk and the prices kept rising, but last week's experience was my last. Went in for lunch after seeing an ad for their Quarter Chicken Dinner. Big mistake.Staff couldn't have looked more disinterested if they tried. When my meal arrived I was stunned... the "dinner" was basically a snack... a plate of fries with a bun and the smallest "quarter chicken" I've ever seen served in a restaurant. The bun was bigger than the chicken piece... it was that pathetic. When I asked the waitress about it she just shrugged and said it's not the kitchen's fault as they just serve what corporate sends them.Yet corporate has no problem finding nice big portions for their website and flyer advertising... too bad the customer can't actually get what is advertised... that's misleading advertising at best... fraud at worst.Lesson learned... last time I'll step foot in a Swiss Chalet.
