Nestled in a little community by the river Pativilca in an area that has seen a big shift of fortunes with the bypass of the Pan-American Highway, is some of the best fresh water shellfish you'll get anywhere. Having been told that we must stop on our drive to Huaraz to eat the best chupe de camerones in the "world" - we stopped and has the second best chupe I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a lot of crawfish bisque).... Nestled in a small community on the river Pativilca in an area that has seen a great shift of luck with the bypass of the Pan American Highway, is part of the best fresh water shellfish you will get 'll everywhere. After we have said that we have to stop on our trip to Huaraz to eat the best chupe de camerones in the world, we stopped and have eaten the second best chupe I have ever eaten (and I have eaten a lot of cancer bisque). It wa tasty and the restaurant offers the rustic ambience, which can still find very few tourists in Peru. Make yourself a favor when you pass along the northern route of Pan American Highway, stop at La Casa de los Camerones . .
Excellent food, you can taste all shrimp-based dishes they have. It is a good idea to stop on your trip and go to this restaurant.
Eating was good and the prices were affordable. good atmosphere for the children. comes back.
Good place for seafood. Went there around Christmas time with the wife and the mother-in-law
