By far the BEST subs, calzone pizza that we have ever gotten in the city!! Friendly staff and lovely family owned business. I would pay DOUBLE for the food they serve because the portions are great but more importantly you ENJOY every bite!

Not only local but I moved here from Arlington Ma and they are better than I could find even there. Can 't wait to try the calzone and pizza!

It seems they keep their rolls refrigerated now, so even when you get them home they are still hard... read more This used to be our favorite place for subs, but no longer. It seems they keep their rolls refrigerated now, so even when you get them home they are still hard and cold, and need to be microwaved to soften the up. The prices are high, we had two cold subs and some onion rings and the bill was $22.00! And the large order of onion rings turned out to be literally 8 rings...which we discovered when we opened the bag at home!! would hardly be considered a SMALL ! Totally got cheated there! AND they didn 't get the order right, had no hots on them which I asked for. From now on it 's Alton House of Pizza...always! You lost us on this one.
