Taken over by our family in 1991, we have proudly continued the tradition of serving fish and chips of the finest quality. Our mission is simple: to offer the very best food and service to every customer who walks through our door. Whether you’re a labourer, salesman, motorcyclist, or senior citizen, our fish and chips provide real value for money, satisfying hunger with a taste that keeps people coming back. We’re open Tuesday to Thursday from 11:30 to 1:30 and again from 4:30 to 7:30, Fridays from 11:30 to 7:30, and Saturdays from 11:30 to 2:00. We’re closed on Mondays and Sundays. Best chippy in Barnsley by a country mile
Yorkshire's best kept secret. The one place YouTube vloggers eat from but never review. Consistently excellent. A rye sense of good old Yorkshire humour awaits. Ask for lightly battered fish. You won't be disappointed.
We were promised good fish and chips and we certainly weren't disappointed. F and C were superb and the mushy peas were proper mushy peas.... excellent. Highly recommended
My local chippy special service. Great fish and chips
Moved to Yorkshire a while back but couldn't find a decent chippy near us. Until today. When OH happened to come across Y pas on his way home from Tarn and guess what: it is the bizniz. Fresh fish fried in thin n crispy coat of batter, with scraps which I haven't had in years. Not a fan of chips but had a few of theirs and they were pretty damned good. Staff v. pleasant too. Now know where to come next time anybody fancies a chippy tea.
