The restaurant serves food cooked in beef dripping instead of vegetable oil, just like they used to do in the past. We visit there regularly and enjoy the traditional cooking style. They also have a seated cafe area in the back, but we have never tried it ourselves. View all feedback.
What In D dislikes about Wards Fish Chips:
Called at teatime today, fish slice and sausage refried from lunch yuk. Fish slice was nearly black in colour after a second refry. Chips greasy and inedible, fat should have been changed…last year! Offered the dog most of them but she wasn’t keen either. It’s like visiting something stuck in time. Place is filthy. Avoid as there are other chippies in the town. View all feedback.
Best fish and chips that we were recently worth visiting. it was already a few times here, but this time chips were very hard (not knowing why, the fish looked like there were about 5 or 6 small pieces fish glued together with battery, I'm sorry, but no good experience last night.

I always have their braided bark stew and chips. followed by a milk coffee. Excellent eating beautiful service. I eat every Tuesday there and traveled 18 miles to get there. !
Brilliant old fashioned fish and chip shop with the option of dining in.We arrived after a fairly long drive. We had fish and chips and a mug of tea each.All was perfect would definite go there again
This charming fish and chip shop with a cozy dining area in the back has a nostalgic feel. I highly recommend it and would definitely return again.
