Attended as a group of four and were immediately greeted by a supremely helpful waitress who was superb all night. The food was absolutely brilliant and we all thought it was fantastic. Service was friendly and helpful without being fussy or overpowering. Four starters, four mains, three rounds of drinks for £30 each was stunning value. Starter was very disappointing. The vine leaves were hard and cold like they weren't defrosted enough. When I sent them back I was told they were made fresh every day ???. The main course(moussaka)was very nice and piping hot. View all feedback.

Came here for my birthday and it was the best choice I’ve ever made. The food and staff were equally lovely; my family adored the quality and portion sizes. They made my birthday feel so special by playing music for me and bringing my cake out. Overall one of the best places I’ve been for my birthday yet. I truly recommend this place for anyone wanting to celebrate their special day or if they just want some amazing quality food. Kid-friendliness: Very polite and considerate to my younger siblings. They had a high chair prepared and ready when we arrived. I had the vegetarian moussaka, which was gorgeous. My partner had the beef one. She's been before as says it's always good here. The service was warm and friendly too.
For a special dining experience, head over to the Lemon Tree. The food and atmosphere are top-notch in the center of Barnsley. I will definitely be back for another visit.
