Colliers - Barnsley
Colliers
Description
Located inside a hospital, this café is well laid out and serves a varied menu with some tasty, reasonably priced mains and friendly staff. However, experiences are inconsistent: portions and temperatures can vary, coffee quality is hit-or-miss, and small packaged items feel overpriced with poor price signage. Accessibility assistance and service consistency are occasional issues. Overall, a convenient spot for visitors with some standout dishes but uneven execution and value.
Feedback
This restaurant is very well laid out within the hospital. The food selection is good, and the meals are both tasty and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the coffee could use some improvement; it was quite strong and bitter. You can find much better coffee downstairs at the café, and it's also cheaper!
The food was just lukewarm and not very impressive. It used to be much better; the quality has declined since the renovation.
We had a wonderful meal today! We enjoyed sausage with onion gravy, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. For dessert, we had coconut sponge cake with custard. Everything was delicious!
My experience was quite disappointing. I ordered pork stroganoff with chips, while my son had a pre-packaged cheese sandwich. The stroganoff was passable, but unfortunately, all of my chips were burnt. My son’s cheese sandwich was lacking as well, containing just a thin slice of cheese on a very dry teacake. We each had a drink, and we barely had any change from a ten-pound note. I won't be returning.
