Orkideh - Barnet
Orkideh
Description
Orkideh Restaurant offers a mixed experience for diners seeking authentic Persian cuisine. While some patrons delight in the high-quality rice and flavorful meats like Joojeh Kabab, others express disappointment over the vegetarian options and cash-only payment policy. Despite a few complaints about seating arrangements and the restaurant's cleanliness, many appreciate the warm, friendly atmosphere and attentive service. Live music adds to the ambiance, making it a great spot for celebrations. Overall, Orkideh shines as a noteworthy choice for those wanting to explore Persian flavors, though some inconsistencies could be addressed for a more cohesive dining experience.

I think this place has been closed by Barnet Council for the way he got his kitchen, but not before the time. The cook smokes next to the kitchen window and the stench of food residues from the day before is impregnated around the building. I asked to take it... because they recommended it... but a bad stomach and never go there again.
We visited the restaurant on Saturday night with my husband and son to meet one of our close friend who was singing at the restaurant that night.
Having seen some criticisms I was a little nervous, yet I can't criticize the place. The service was very good and very attentive the place was completely filled so we asked how they could adapt as not as large. No one seemed to be kept waiting, the atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed which makes it a change of a lot of Italian/English chain style restaurants that seemed to want to get there and get out as quickly as possible. The food was very good having also a critique that said that there was worse Iranian food that had happened to it we had never had any before it has turned back. No problem with previous critical card machine again was a bit unfair as you have to anywhere. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something different from the Italian restaurants or a food-oriented burger or who has experienced Iranian food before it is a wonderful little restaurant easily accessible from green Golders train station and bus.
I was at this restaurant Friday night to celebrate my father's birthday. We were offered a fixed menu of £25 per person for a 3-course meal. This does not include alcoholic beverages. There was a live band singing Iranian and Western songs that created a really fun and exciting atmosphere. The staff was kind, and the band sang happy birthday to my father. The food was a wonder, with large portions and plenty of space to take home!
