Reviews - Mill Brew
Reviews summary
Mill Brew offers a mixed experience for customers. The coffee is decent and the atmosphere is relaxed, with different groups of people enjoying the space. The food is a hit or miss, with some finding the dishes delicious while others found them lacking. The service varies from being friendly and attentive to rude and unwelcoming, leaving some customers hesitant to return. Despite the inconsistencies, Mill Brew seems to have potential as a cozy spot for brunch or lunch in Mill Hill.
Was Anonym at Mill Brew a mag?
The staff was very friendly, the manager was accommodating, and they served a large coffee. I won't return to Costa, but I will definitely come back to try their food. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Mill Brew:
This was my first time at this restaurant and I really enjoyed it overall. I especially loved the blue dish that was served for breakfast. The atmosphere was not very comfortable for me when dining out, and I found the waitress to be too casual in her service, but I am willing to give it another try. The owner or manager appears to be a nice guy. View all feedback.

It was my second time going there for breakfast, absolutely love it Customer service is brilliant, it’s clean and delicious breakfast. I would recommend it for sure
One says one should never judge a book by its cover, however that is exactly what we did unfortunately. From the outside, the cafe appears busy, modern and appealing, with little to no available tables. The menu also is trendy, and offers all a millennial of 2019 would want (eggs, chips, burgers, ketchup etc) Service is slow, coffee is not too dissimilar from the stir in sachets of Nescafé Expresso (ironic because it took 15 minutes). The food is very bland, everything tastes the same, and you are left with a very greasy pallet. I wouldn’t normally leave reviews, but I feel these cowboys are piggybacking modern trends, prices to match but quality is cheap and reeks of wholesale.
We popped in for some brunch as the menu sounded brilliant! Beautiful cafe and amazing menu however the food was very poor, nothing was seasoned or really had any flavour and the quality of the produce is very poor which is reflected in the taste. Slow service a few friendly faces but most looked quite miserable. Coffee also wasn’t great. Wouldn’t spend money here again sadly!
Scrumptious food served up by chef Aidan Manning who was trained by Jamie Oliver. Lovely rustic decor to go with locally sourced vegetables, this really is a hidden gem in Mill Hill, North London. Nice atmosphere, friendly service with a smile with a fabulous selection of dishes. I really enjoyed the smashed avocado and poached egg and sausages.

I was very happy I was able to take my dog with us, he was made to feel at home lying on the comfy couch. Lunch was lovely in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Will definitely go back
Friendly and attentive service. Was fairly busy when we arrived but we didn't have to wait for a table. From the front it may look like there isn't any space but they have quite a few tables in the back. We had the Eggs Benedict with a sausage on the side, plus Shakshuka two pouched eggs with sourdough bread and a pot of fresh mint tea for two. The Eggs Benedict was a bit small of a serving and the extra sausage not really worth £2. The Shakshuka was tasty although it was all tomato and couldn't see any peppers as mentioned in the menu. The fresh mint tea tasted more like water because there really weren't enough mint leaves. Other than that a pleasant and enjoyable brunch.
Mill and Brew is an outstanding place to eat and enjoy hot drinks. We are addicted to their delicious Full Breakfasts, Lattes and Cappuccinos. The food is always hot and delicious, served by attentive, efficient and friendly staff and management. Even if you do not live locally in Mill Hill, Mill and Brew is well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed. David and Bernadette Anders.

Been here plenty of times and each visit we leave with a happy full belly and tastebuds. Food is delicious especially the M&B breakfast. The friendly owner takes his time to have a chat and is very welcoming. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Visited Mill and Brew this morning for the first time, hoping for a pleasant breakfast experience. Initially, things started well—our waitress, Maya, was lovely and polite. We asked how many sausages came in a portion, and she told us two, so we ordered one portion to share. However, when our food arrived, it only included one sausage. It was brought over by a different staff member (apparently the manager), and when we questioned the discrepancy, she curtly responded that it’s one sausage per person. We mentioned that Maya had said otherwise, and while the manager admitted it was a mistake, she made no effort to apologise or resolve it kindly—instead offering to take the plate back with a dismissive tone. No gesture of goodwill, just an immediate reminder that we’d be charged if we wanted another. We proceeded to order the extra sausage but were quite put off by her attitude and had to wait whilst our food became cold. When we raised concerns about how we were being spoken to, she became even more rude and dismissive, telling us to “leave it” and walking off. To top it off, the smashed avocado dish was poorly presented—only one slice of sourdough had avocado, while the other was completely dry. They also charge for every condiment, which felt excessive given the already underwhelming experience. Sadly, we won’t be returning. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, and customer service seriously lacking. For a much better experience, Joice Café just down the road is far friendlier and offers better value.
