El Durango - Barnesville
El Durango
Description
Nestled in a small town, a longstanding Mexican restaurant shines for its fresh, flavorful dishes and friendly atmosphere, drawing patrons for nearly 30 years. While the menu offers a variety of options, some diners noted inconsistencies in service and drink quality. Highlights include the Chicken Chipotle and grilled specials, appreciated for their high-quality ingredients. With a spacious layout ideal for families and large groups, the restaurant provides an upbeat dining experience. However, occasional service lapses and mixed reviews on drink selections suggest room for improvement. Overall, it remains a popular choice for both locals and travelers seeking delicious Mexican fare.

We stopped at this restaurant while passing through during the day. The food was decent, but not as good as LA Fiesta. The shrimp tacos lacked filling and seemed hastily prepared. The younger staff was less attentive compared to the older staff. We were initially served crumbs for chips, but the older lady quickly rectified the situation by bringing us more. Overall, it was satisfactory for a quick meal while on the go. Dine-in service was rated 4, with dinner priced at $10-20 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated 4 out of 5.
All the dishes I tried at this restaurant were incredibly fresh and delicious! Each dish was prepared perfectly to the highest standards. The crust was wonderfully crisp, delicate, and not at all soggy. Prices range from $10 to $20 per person. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5!
This restaurant is only open from Tuesday to Friday, but it is definitely worth a visit. It is a family-friendly establishment managed by a friendly family. The food is surprisingly delicious. The Chicken Chipotle is cooked perfectly in a flavorful sauce that is well-balanced. My wife enjoys the steak salad with grilled mushrooms and pesto. Personally, I am a fan of the open faced poblanos with grilled chicken. These dishes are flavorful and not like anything you would find in a can. The family provides attentive service, although they can get busy during peak hours. The atmosphere is upbeat and tidy. The dining area is unexpectedly spacious with plenty of tables, booths, and a separate bar section. It is a popular spot for families and large groups. While it may not be ideal for a Saturday date night, it is still a great place to dine.
I enjoyed the food very much. It was good and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Fajita Nachos
