Kings Lounge
Description
East London’s Nigerian pub offers an authentic culinary journey with standout dishes like edikang ikong, chicken wings, and egusi with pounded yam. The food is generally fresh and flavorful, complemented by a vibrant atmosphere that transforms into a lively party lounge late at night, complete with a skilled DJ and diverse music selection. While the venue provides a relaxing space, including a pleasant patio for summer gatherings, service quality varies—ranging from friendly and helpful to slow or below average. The venue was average, realised name change, and under new management(was called King Lounge) Wanted to reserve a table before we but told the cut-off time was finished(before 9 p.m.)as we were caught up in bad weather. Arrived and venue was not that busy!! Waiting time on food order took a while. The food was okay; it could have been better. Music was good and was a great selection from DJ. Service: Dine in
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the atmosphere was delightful. We dined in, and the price per person was around £20–30. As for the food, I would rate it a solid 4, while the service and the ambiance both deserve a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Egusi with Pounded Yam and the Assorted Meat Pepper Soup!
