Toogie's Table - Bardstown

Our table was ready upon check-in at the desk. Even though I requested first floor, we were seated upstairs, which worked out fine. Server was attentive and quick with suggestions and explanations of menu items. She answered our questions and made recommendations for the number of guests at the table. The drinks from the bar were made tasty and served quickly. Most of the food items were all new items for our tastes and needed clarification, but everything was good. Portions seemed a little small, but with a variety of appetizers and entrees, we were too full to consider dessert.

Great cocktails and beautiful atmosphere. Enjoyed our time there.

I'll give Toogie's another try because there was so much that was right. The food, however, was not the star of the show. Management gave us a heads up that there would be a limited menu because the restaurant was just making the switch to being open more nights per week. Three of the 7 at our table really enjoyed their meal. The rest of us thought the seasoning on *everything* was superb, but execution fell short (horribly dried out chicken, and issues with other dishes). The service made it all work, and we were a fairly demanding and rowdy bunch.

We went for NYE and enjoyed the visit greatly! Menu was unique and we enjoyed sampling different options. The butter pecan sundae for dessert is a must!
