What Theresa E dislikes about Cafe Primo:
Excellent, helpful service. Nice, indoor ambiance. Pizza left me wanting toppings and less salt. Not sure what the fatty/gristly meat was on the Hot Brown pizza, but that was left on the plate. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.

This is the best place on the strip! The food is amazing, a perfect 10 out of 10. Absolutely fabulous—don't waste your time going anywhere else!

The pizza was good, though the crust was slightly overcooked. The service was just okay. Since it’s a small space, larger groups can make it quite noisy. Next time, I think I’ll sit outside.

My husband and I stopped by Cafe Primo for lunch. The service was satisfactory, and the atmosphere was cozy with a touch of historic charm. Our meals were enjoyable; we didn’t have any complaints, but we also weren’t blown away. I ordered a lunch trio that included a cup of tomato soup, a small salad, and a small serving of pasta, which was quite delicious. My husband had the Romano shrimp pasta, and he thought it was good as well. We both felt that the portions could have been a bit larger, and it would have been nice to have a slice of bread or something on the side. Overall, we didn’t have any negatives, and we wouldn’t mind dining here again. However, we’re not sure we’d actively seek it out if we were in Bardstown again.

On 7-22-22, we visited Bardstown, KY and decided to eat at Cafe Primo. Everything on the menu is a Le carte. We were seated immediately and ordered our drinks. When the waitress returned with our water, we ordered our meals. We ordered 1 glass of wine,1 ensalata roma ceasar salad, 1 spaghetti with meat sauce, and 1 pasta Romano. (angel hair pasta with spinach, ham, and shrimpin a cream sauce) While the food was very good, the service was mediocre at best. They forgot to bring the wine and it took 49minutes to finally get our entrées. We never even received refills during our visit. It is a casual atmosphere that isextremely loud. We could not even hear one another talk. Our bill was $54.54 not including tip and we felt it was too expensivefor what you get. We do not plan to return.

Very disappointed! Service was lacking. The staff needs a lesson on how to do their job professionally. We ordered 2 pizzas and 1 pasta dish. My 5 year old could have put that dish together. The food took extremely long to come out. Pizza ingredients wereless than mediocre, and pasta dish was a joke! Never going back!!!
