On 7-22-22, we visited Bardstown, KY and decided to eat at Cafe Primo. Everything on the menu is a Le carte. We were seated immediately and ordered our drinks. When the waitress returned with our water, we ordered our meals. We ordered 1 glass of wine,1 ensalata roma ceasar salad, 1 spaghetti with meat sauce, and 1 pasta Romano. (angel hair pasta with spinach, ham, and shrimpin a cream sauce) While the food was very good, the service was mediocre at best. They forgot to bring the wine and it took 49minutes to finally get our entrées. We never even received refills during our visit. It is a casual atmosphere that isextremely loud. We could not even hear one another talk. Our bill was $54.54 not including tip and we felt it was too expensivefor what you get. We do not plan to return.
Very disappointed! Service was lacking. The staff needs a lesson on how to do their job professionally. We ordered 2 pizzas and 1 pasta dish. My 5 year old could have put that dish together. The food took extremely long to come out. Pizza ingredients wereless than mediocre, and pasta dish was a joke! Never going back!!!
Super good pasta! Such a good sauce. The sun dried tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, and grilled chicken hit the spot. The waitresses were sweet and brought us lots of refills.
The place is cute but the service is poor. The girls ?waitresses? are just improvising. We even heard them arguing behind the bar. The food took forever (only two pizzas and 1 pasta). The sweet tea was too sweet and the pasta had no taste. The pizza wasokay, the tomato sauce needed salt. They had the TV on with no volume and no music playing in the background. All you could herewere the people talking. I?ll suggest some jazz in the background. We won?t come back.
We walked here from our BnB for a very casual, grab a pie kind of dinner. The dining room was full, but we got a table outside. Some would take off a star because the waitresses were busy, but I'm not. We got a margherita pizza and Pinot. The pizza crustwas perfect, crispy outside, soft/chewy inside. Sauce had great flavor. Very authentic! I would definitely get another pizzahere the next time I'm in town.
