We hap... read more We went to Rustic for our first dinner in Barcelona, and could not have been happier! The servers were SO friendly and attentive. The food was excellent! We happy the chicken Cesar salad (a table of 6 favorite), chorizo sausages, prawns, and a few other dishes. The wine and margaritas were top shelf. The atmosphere is so cute. This is a must for anyone visiting Barcelona!

Each it... read more Nice place at first glance, but a big disappointment when it came to the bill. The prices shown on the menu did not match what we were actually charged. Each item was increased by around 10%, and then VAT and an additional “quota” fee were added at the end. In total, the final bill was about 20% higher than expected based on the menu. This lack of transparency is disappointing. Make sure to double-check before ordering. After the answer of the restaurant : I am simply sharing my experience as a customer. The bill presentation was confusing, especially regarding VAT and the terrace supplement, which was not clearly mentioned beforehand. That is why the final amount felt misleading to us. This is not “totally false”; it is an honest review based on our experience.

The tapas were good but not great, the wine they recommended was excellent, and we enjoyed the place very much. Will go back, happily.

We ordered the steak tartar, the bravas, and the chicken toast, and everything was absolutely delicious. You can really tell they use highquality ingredients and put care into every dish. The steak tartar was perfectly seasoned, the bravas were full of flavor, and the chicken toast was outstanding. On top of that, the service was exceptional. The waitress who attended us was incredibly sweet, charming, and patient while explaining the menu and recommending dishes. She truly made the whole experience even more special. Without a doubt, 5 stars for the food, service, and atmosphere. We left absolutely delighted and we already know we’ll definitely come back next year. Highly recommended!

There was one other table after me, but all in all not busy night at all. I order the main entry dish in the picture for $14 euro. I wasn’t sure about portion size and therefore didn’t order any appetizers. It took 30 min for this plate of dish with asparagus and ham and cheese to be served, to the point that I actually felt hungry and nothing was served yet. When I started inquiring about my dish after waiting for 25min with no food arriving, the female staff pointed towards the kitchen and said “we are not fast food restaurants”. This is totally uncalled for. For anyone who cook with asparagus, it doesn’t take 25 min to cook and serve. It’s not like that have to cook the ham either. Besides the asparagus served was shaved with hard inedible pieces, which again made me wonder what’s all the fuss with the dish. I finished this plate still feeling hungry and went on to buy an amazing sourdough loaf at the bakery a few doors down, for $1.8 euros. Will not return to this place. Do yourself a favor and read through all the one star reviews. If Italians are saying the food is meh, they are probably right.
