I should have asked what the Happy hour deal was,... read more I was suckered in by one of the scam artists they had working pulling people in advertising Happy Hour prices. I should have asked what the Happy hour deal was, but didn 't expect to be scammed. I should have also pulled up any review site, as everyone seems to have the same complaint. Was charged 93 Euros for four drinks and a small dish of humus. They were charging 15 Euros for a small glass of sangria. There were options at other venues for a large glass for half the price. They added on 10% tax as well as a 20% sitting fee. When I complained about the price and lack of transparency, she pointed to the 14.5% sitting fee printed in small print at the side of the menu. It was only after I checked again later, I noticed they had added 20% and not 14.5%. I should have refused to pay that amount, but I had to leave. Also the bathroom I was directed to inside at Paparazzi was a dirty, stinky hole without soap. They should be ashamed of themselves charging that amount and not even able to provide a decent washroom! They are taking advantage of tourists that don 't know any better. To have this many terrible reviews all with the same issue, they obviously have no conscience or self respect at all. Price per person: €20–30

After a long, great but tiring walk inside the mesmerizing Guell park, on our way back to the hotel, my friend and me were walking down the La Rambla street, and, too tired to search for some other restaurant, sat in La Bodega de las Ramblas. We knew that we should avoid this aria, but we thought that once is ok – how bad can it be? Well, it was bad, worse than any Barcelona guide has said. We have paid our mistake, not only in euros, but also in a bitter feeling that ruined our otherwise wonderful day. We ordered two beers and only when the waiter left we saw that at the bottom of the menu, under the coctails, beer was listed and the price was 15 euros. We called the waiter again and I asked him about the price, but he said it was a large beer. I asked again was it for 2 persons and he confirmed. But two large beers came and we realized that we were tricked. We should have return this order, but at first, we did not want to make a fuss. Every experience has a cost. But finally, on the check one beer was not 15 euros but 18, plus some tax, so we payed 39,60 euros for two beers. In anger we made photos of restaurant and the waiter, and we left, but the waiter – scammer was chasing us saying that he is going to the police. We said that was great because we also have something to say to the police. Policeman was very polite but he told us that taking photos was not allowed. Well, maybe it would be better that police deal with this treacherous way of doing business, where everything is designed to deceive a guest – waiters come and go, you order to one, then he disappears, the other comes with the bill, then the third from the other restaurant across the street … The whole scheme becomes obvious when it’s too late. When What we replied was that the problem is not in that, but in lies and obvious fraud. We paid the bill, but that's all took photos, including the waiter and the fake boss, after which they chased us and said they would call the police. We are they were happy about it, in order to warn the police about fraudsters and thieves on the main street. However, the police officer explained to us that it is not allowed to photograph people without permission?! That was not the topic. I consider it a job police to protect tourists from thieves, but this was not the case. Go around this restaurant in a wide arc. They work in cooperation with the restaurant opposite Paparazzi and one table will receive the bill from there, and the other from the first one restaurants. I see that all the impressions here are similar and that they all warn about scammers and thieves. They still do they work smoothly. I ask that anyone who reads this, warn everyone they know about this. We will find a way to let's make the same impression wherever possible.
