Nectari “promised” Michelin ex... read more Went for lunch menu with tax €50. You won’t get what you see online, don’t be fooled with false expectations as the menu changes. Nectari “promised” Michelin experience but after being in several Michelin restaurants in BCN this one was the only one truly hard to justify the price. I don’t recommend you to waste your money if you hope an elevated experience this is not it. First ick was the dirty glass then noticed the dead flies and the dead flower on the table that was followed by scratched plates. They didn’t put any effort to their atmosphere. Cream of Prat artichoke with pork jowl was extremely salty. Roast beef was dry and overcooked with some nerve. I studied culinary arts if I bring this overcooked roast beef to my chefs, I would never graduate. Unfortunately simple boiled vegetables with zero creativity didn’t make the main dish any better if not worse.

The overall atmosphere felt cold—both literally in terms of temperature and in the general ambiance. Service and setting lacked the warmth and refinement typically expected at this level. More concerning was the food. The pigeon was served severely undercooked, which is difficult to justify even allowing for stylistic choices. Following the visit, both of us experienced stomach issues, which unfortunately overshadowed the entire evening. Overall, this fell well short of what one would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant at the time despite the low price for lunch

We have their degustation menu with the wine pairing and what an experience! The cava, produced exclusively for them, ooh my... We were very well look after by Paula and James which made our whole experience exquisite. The food was superb and a every dish was presented in such unique way. Defenitely a place to try in Barcelona.
