Excellent food, this was a great find. The starter courses were large and had good variety. A few of us had the beef stew for main. I had oxtail which was very good. My wife had the cod also very good. Need to come back here again.

The ambience was great jazz music, tables beautifully set. We arrived a bit early around 9pm and we were the only guests in the restaurant. They had an English menu but the waitress was unable to elaborate. She told us the pasta of the day was a squid ravioli but after tasting it it was a squash parmesan It was delicious as well as everything else. Cod with Brie and mushroom artichoke Parmesan carpaccio The owner told us all the recipes were from her grandmother but she improved on them. The restaurant filled up and everyone was happy except our poor waitress who had to serve every guest. We had to wait over a half hour to gets our check

Just got back from a 3 day trip with a friend and this was the (only) low point. I 've visited Barcelona several times and there are many, many lovely places to eat; this is not one of them. The food did not remotely live up to its description on the menu. 16 Euros for a 'carpaccio ' of mushroom, mango and tomato turned out to be 3 slices of soggy white bread topped with said items. That 's it. Another 16 Euros for sliced duck breast drowned in something which must surely have come from a jar, no vegetables, no salad nothing to accompany it, and barely hot. Ugh. Surly waiter, who believe it or not sat next to us to consume his supper before clearing our plates. One bottle of white wine, one bottle of water. Bill for 90 Euros. Dismal. I 'm ashamed to say, they saw us coming. Never agian though!

We were visiting Barcelona and researched a nice romantic restaurant so we settled on this place.. we ordered a main course each. My husband a beef bourgignon and I a Moroccan chicken dish. When my chicken dish came out I genuinely thought it was a dessert it was so small. I wasn't extremely hungry thankfully but this dish was the smallest main I have ever recieved in any restaurant anywhere and I have traveled a lot, The dish itself was tasty but was about 3 times too small. I finished off the bread to help my hunger. My husband's beef wasn't the tastiest but he had rice to fill him up. The ambience, lighting and service was all good but is let down by portion size and price

We were delighted to find this candle lit, cosy little restaurant down a back street in the lively neighbourhood of Born and the food did not disappoint! My husband had an extremely generous serving of pan fried fois gras (which he would have liked served slightly warmer). I had a veal 'spiral ' burger which was served with a delicious sauce. Our starters were generous too my husband had the melon and cured ham and I had a warm goat 's cheese dish which was perfectly complimented by salad and house dressing. We had a white and a milk chocolate mousse for dessert (had to opt for both and shared) and these were light and delicious. The service was warm and friendly and there were no delays. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived and continued to get busier throughout the evening. With water and a good glass of red wine, the bill came to €92.50 which was very reasonable for what we got. We 'd happily recommend this restaurant and will re visit as we loved the Born area of Barcelona it has a close villagey feel to it very like Greenwich Village in NY.
