I’ve been here a couple of times now, in my opinion it’s the best seafood place in Gracia, or maybe all of Barcelona. Must try: scallops, calamari, monkfish. Everything is nicely flavoured, perfectly cooked, just delicious. Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fresh fish, prawns and shells served tapas-style. No fuss, only fresh ingredients (raw, grilled or marinated) served with little to none garnish highlighting their own distinct flavour. The best scallops ever, pure excellence! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lunch at LLURITU. They have two restaurants, both in Gracia. I went to the one in Torrent de les Flors. The space is unpretentious, clean, and small. You almost feel like you have walked into a fishmonger, it smells of the sea. This is not a restaurant with white tablecloths or fancy china. It is straighforward, concentrating on the food. In this case: predominantly shellfish and fish, although they have one or two meat dishes on the menu. First to arrive, wafer thin slices of melt in the mouth raw tuna with just a hint of salt flakes and a drizzle of quality olive oil. This was followed by a tartare of juicy tomatoes topped with some chopped smoked eel, the combination was perfect. We then had a platter of plump, steamed mussels with a touch of lemon, delicious. Next, the freshest clams with just some oil and grated lime followed by ‘zamburiñas’ a type of scallop, cooked to perfection and topped with a sprinkle of chopped, sweet onion. No sauces, no fuss, just the cooking juices into which we dipped our chunks of crunchy bread. We had the A Coroa white wine from Valdeorras, Godello grape. Zesty, dry, and crisp with citrus notes and some minerality it paired very well with all the dishes except for the dessert which was fresh pineapple with a dark chocolate sauce and some kind of candied fruit and a biscuit mousse, by then we had almost finished the wine, so it didn’t matter in any case. The bill for two just under 90 euros. Service was friendly, quick, and efficient and like the restaurant, focused on the food. I would recommend this place for sure.

A tiny seafood restaurant with a daily menu of whatever seafood they have. There were at most 8 tables for 2. Service was friendly and the tiny kitchen cook the same dish for everyone that ordered it at the same time. The dishes are tapas size for sharing and extremely fresh. Anchovies, tuna leaf, sardines, red mullet and red prawns were all perfectly cooked and delicious. Prices were very reasonable.
