Amazing dinning experience in Barcelona. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Every item was top notch and flavors were truly outstanding. Recommend five star.

We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. First thing that we noticed is that the glasses for water and the wine were little dirty. After that we ordered sparkling water which was not sparkling at all. Also there was no music during the whole evening. After that first few courses were actually really good. Especially second course, mantis shrimp with peas. We did notice that the main problem with the food was that the plates were cold and that made the food cold as well. Main course and cheese plate were great. Predesert and desert were also both amazing. Main reason that we left sad and dissapointed was that the table next to us got petit fours and we did not and we both got the same tasting menu. Overall food was amazing but these few details, especially the absence of petit fours left us feeling very dissapointed.

Worth of going. Degustation menu with paired wines is definitely a good thing and worth it. Service was nice and on a level. Degustation menu will take you a while which is completely normal because you do seven courses menu.

Hisop is one of the worst gastronomic experiences we have ever had in Barcelona. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was extremely cold. The service was an absolute insult to what hospitality is supposed to be in a fine-dining experience. Let me be clear, when you aim to play in the Michelin league—and you achieve it—you cannot offer this level of hospitality. Two service staff for around 20 customers is clearly not enough, especially when you pretend to do table service with several dishes. To be honest, it was a complete disaster to see how badly everything related to service was managed. Bad attitude, very dry tone when answering questions, visible frustration with any request, and body language so extreme that an elderly couple even felt it and asked the staff not to be upset with them for asking too much. They completely ruined our experience, which is sad, as we were really looking forward to a great meal. I honestly don’t understand how this restaurant still holds a Michelin star with such amateur and rude service. The food took forever to arrive. Our reservation was at 1:30 pm, we ordered two dishes per person (an appetizer and a main), and we left almost at 4:00 pm. Of course, we didn’t order dessert—we would have had to stay at least another hour. The service didn’t even ask if we liked the food or if something was wrong when we skipped dessert. Just cold, indifferent faces. The food itself was just OK, not bad, but not great either. Very disappointing overall. We will definitely not be coming back or recommending this restaurant.
