Poor quality salmorejo, greasy and lacking good shellfish ‘ Marisco Paella’.... maybe their specialities are none of these and they should cut them out of the list . Service at the tables a bit rude, but at the Barra nice and friendly. The restaurant itself is very nice .
We have been coming to this place to have drinks play pool but the other night we’d dinner and we’d a mixed sensation as the title says. They sent us to the inner part of the restaurant where they have the barbecue part. We’d quite some time before they took our order. It’s a an old set up and there’s a cat walking around freely which is not a pleasant sight as I’ve allergy. Anyway the service was good and the food was delicious and we’d a good time.
I am afraid but this is going to be the first totally negative review I've ever written on Trip Advisor in the 3 years I have been a member. Four of us popped in for a late lunch at 2:15 pm. Reviews seemed to indicate the food and service would be good. From the outside this restaurants looks like it could be a really good BBQ restaurant. We arrived to find the restaurant empty and were seated quickly. However when we went to make an order, we were informed that our menu choices of sandwiches and burgers were not allowed at this time in the restaurant. We asked the waitress to elaborate and she explained that these choices were only allowed at certain times, at the bar. They couldn't offer them as it slowed the kitchen down. It seemed a bit odd to us that they would be listed prominently in the menu. Looking at the menu, this ruled out all the snack options around 5 6 euros. Effectively that meaned the only lunch options available were full sized meals from 10 to 20 euros per person. If it had been dinner we probably would have been fine, but we only fancied a snack for lunch. We asked the waitress if perhaps we could order a number of full plates, with only one burger but she insisted this wasn't possible and started to get quite annoyed with us. To add insult one of 5 locals sitting at the bar ordered a burger without hassle in Spanish. At this point we decided that the restaurant didn't seem tourist friendly and left. A real shame as we probably would have returned again later in our holiday if the food had been as good as other reviews.
Maintaining COVID 19 safety distancing between the tables, all the waiters with the masks and gel when you enter. We were 11 of us including teenagers so they set up a different table for them . The staff food was excellent as always. We had cous-cous, Chicken Tajine, Falafel, anchovies, salads etc.. As you can see it’s worth it.
