Unlucky treatment to a customer who pays 50€ for two dishes and a salad and a lack of coordination makes the 30min finishing one comensal the other has not started eating
It´s the 4th take a diner or a lunch in 7 years and it´s always like being at home. The local dish and tuna are treated very well and at a very reasonable price.
On our arrival by car in Zahara, we gravitated towards the beach and were lucky to get a car park, although it was one of the last slots available. Cerro Currita is between the car park and the beach, and we were shown to a table (also the last available our lucky day) on the raised platform on the dune overlooking the beach. What a perfect spot for our first lunch in Zahara de los Atunes. Our party of three ordered a selection of tapas, wine by the glass and beer. The staff were busy so the drinks were a while coming the only minor niggle in a very relaxed and pleasant afternoon. All the food was well cooked and tasty. On our travels in Andalcuia we found many wonderful and reasonably priced tapas restaurants like this. What sets Cerro Currita apart is the wonderful location by the beach. A memorable lunch.
We were hesitant to visit this restaurant since we expected it to be overpriced and full of tourists because it's amazing location. I am glad we were wrong. The restaurant that was suggested to us for comida was closed, so we decided on Cerro Currita. The setting is gorgeous we walked in right off the beach still wet from swimming. The food was delicious. The mixed tuna plate was excellent smoked, raw, cooked, all with doses of olive oil. The service was also attentive and professional. It was a great spot and we can't wait to go back.
We were actually also looking for another restaurant, but ended up here as we couldn´t find the other one. We came for dinner and it was already quite late (23:00), but they still served food. The plates were delicious, especially the tuna (Morillo). The waiters were very friendly and all in all we can recommend it. I guess it´s better to have lunch there to have the beautiful view of the ocean. But also during the night with the incredible star sky, it was great.
