We had lunch in their recently new space and it was nice. We were 9 people, the day was super hot, and they had ceiling fans that saved us during the hottest hours. They had local cuisine ans some dishes were vegetarian or vegan (many came with salsa or cheese separately). We tried the beer with pomegranate and it was delicious.
Summarized: really disappointing The restaurant offers a good variety of vegan options, including vegan plate, puffballs, fries, bruschetta, tomato soup, grilled vegetables, salad, garlic pasta, grape leaves with rice, stuffed peppers, okra, and eggplant with tomato sauce. With such a diverse menu, we had high expectations for our meal. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We started with the bruschetta, which was good but made with cheap store-bought toast. The garlic pasta and the vegetable pasta dishes were served lukewarm, and the portions were surprisingly small compared to what others were eating. Additionally, the garlic pasta was hard and stale, like it was cooked hours ago and reheated. To add to our disappointment, the service was quite slow and inattentive. When we ordered a glass of red wine, we got really dirty glasses, instead of bringing a new bottle we got two new, not so dirty glasses, that we ourselves had to pour the wine from the dirty glasses. Plates were also dirty with old dried in stains from other dishes than the ones we were served. The guests at our neighbor table also was unhappy, and half the table got their food half an hour after the others had finished their food. Maybe we went here on an off night, but we suggest trying something other than the pasta dishes. Also: It seems that you should always specify that you want your food vegan, even if it’s listed as such on the menu. Our waiter told us also that multiple options were wrongly marked as vegan on the menu. Updated from previous review on 2024-07-31
Perfect Place. The tomato soup and vegetables plate was wonderful for 2 people. I also recommend the fresh pomegranate juice! So refreshing after a hot day. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly.
I ordered a vegetable plate which was vegetarian. It’s made for two people so if you have a vegetarian with you it’s perfect. I’m pretty sure they could make it vegan. The plate is a cold plate served with bread.
Just wanted to flag to everyone that the vegan platter is served super cold. I personally don’t want to eat stuff like peppers filled with rice and tomato aubergine stew and Brussels sprouts cold as it really grosses me out and makes me a bit worried about food safety so it was a waste of money for me (and very expensive at 16 euros a plate). I had no idea it would be cold as the menu didn’t say, and I’ve been in the Balkans eating the same stuff for 3 months now and never had it served cold before. They did warm some of it a little when asked but it was unfortunately really bland (as a few others also pointed out) so I pretty much left it all anyway. The platter in Kaldrma opposite was way better IMO. Updated from previous review on 2023-09-22
