The Elmhurst Inn - Bar Harbor

This is a wonderful comforting inn to stay while enjoying Bar Harbor. The location is ideal to the park, restaurants, and shopping district. The inn keeper is very hospitable and friendly. We felt very welcome during our three night stay. Would come back!

The Elmhurst is clearly designed for those with a taste for quality and attention to detail. The breakfasts were made with great care and service was top notch. I'm a bit younger and really not used to the quality demonstrated by the staff. I think you'd would be a great get away for those looking to relax it have a romantic getaway. Really close to downtown Bar Harbor at only 10 minutes walk maybe and the grocery store. I did enjoy the free fire log thrown in as well

We stayed in the Echo Suite which was in a separate building behind the inn. It was cozy and gave us a lot of room. The breakfasts were fantastic and the staff were friendly, giving recommendations on day trips.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Elmhurst! Cheryl is attentive and hospitable. My husband has a gluten allergy and Cheryl remembered even when we first checked in. We never had to remind her or her diligent staff. They had sweet or savory gluten free breakfast options ready for him every day. She accommodates other dietary restrictions as well! Breakfast everyday was delicious and beautiful. As an old house lover, I was smitten with the place as soon as we pulled in the driveway. The Elmhurst Inn is lovely, inside and out.

Great bed and breakfast near downtown Bar Harbor. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff, a large and spacious room and (natural) a really delicious breakfast in their idyllic sunroom dining room. In the morning we stayed, they made a berries and cream crepe and a goat cheese and asparagus quiche, both of which were quite delicious. I recommend you stay here if you like B
